Even all the way in New York City I know that he so called family friend wasnt a friend of her family...and who cares.
I sleep better knowing that hes actually serving real time now...wont be long before that grin is wiped off his face...prison isnt that great for men that kill women...not to mention lifers like him usually get moved to the farthest prisons imaginable...Im assumimg he was in Pentonville or one of the London Prisons to keep him close to the CCC. I dont feel any joy in this result when all is said and done...it wont bring her back but at least justice has been served.

I knew Yasmin as My sister. As my sister from another mother. Not as some random woman but she was my sister. I knew her as a good mother and that is how she will remain. Whether she left her kids alone to "go clubbing' is neither here nor there but as we say in Islam...BRING YOUR PROOF IS YOU TELL THE TRUTH!!

As for her ex husband. In OUR religion the man and the women do not have interaction after a final divorce. If Yasmin was doing her thing...then her ex husband was doing his..in that he is a practicing muslim who is not going to have too much interaction with a woman thats not allowed for him in our religion. So stop trying to understand something that is clearly too complicated for you to digest.
He bought her that mercedes didnt he? I dont know about you but I dont know many ex husbands who would do that. NOT TO MENTION...he allowed his children to remain with her. This "bad" mother obviously had some skills.
Let me tell you why I dont speak of her children...they arent part of this process. You dont care about her kids crying for their mother every night. It was that killer. That MURDERING animal that stole Yasmin ffom her children.Nearly 2 years of this elongated process that was an elaborate scheme to allow IBE to sit on remand ...well now hes going to experience the real deal...and it aint pretty.
And I have NO problem with knowing he will spend no less than the next 22 years locked up for his crime. Twenty two years is a long time and with any luck he will mess up inside and earn some additional time because in 22 years my friend, My sister will still be dead.

As for the family friend who tried to denigrate my friends character(again) in order to justify that animals actions...you arent a friend of Yas's family. So stop perpetrating.

I always hated the British Justice system but in this case Im happy.

On Monday December 22nd 2008, the jury deliberating my sister's murder trial returned a unanimous verdict very quickly of "GUILTY" of murder.

It was fully concluded that Mr. Westley Ibe was a cold, callous calculating murderer who showed absolutely no remorse.

During the trial Mr. Ibe would wink, smile and put his thumbs up to his family and friends in the public gallery. He would joke with his guard - but most disgustingly he and his junior defense lawyer would be laughing and joking in front of his victims family. His junior defense lawywer even yelled out to him football scores in the courtroom in front of the victims family as soon as the judge left. The prosecution police present and the same defense lawyer initially defended this action as necessary "client rapport" building after I complained about it. Eventually, the police agreed and the defense lawyer also apologized for his loathsome, pathetic and quite evil behaviour in the courtroom.

Mr. Ibe was sentenced to a minimum sentence of 22 years - almost 2 years of which has already been served awaiting trial after his defense lawyers managed to successfully delay a trial for two years after he handed himself in. In 2030, Mr Ibe will be able to apply for an application for consideration to be released.

I'm happy the judge and jury saw through this liar.

I wish he could be punished by electric chair or injection with my sister's family as an audience as would have occurred in the States.

In 20 years time my sister's sons would all be around 30 years old and Mr. Ibe would be 50 years old.

Mr. Ibe was lucky. I remain convinced that he preplanned the murder due to his veiled threats to my sister 2 weeks prior. If the charge would have been for preplanned murder he would have got an extra 15 years.

Im sure there are things about Janet that only you know but you must also admit that there are things that you DONT know about! One such example (known by her friends who also knew her well and who she partied with) was how she used to leave her kids alone at home and go clubbing! I think that fact alone blows your GOOD MOTHER argument out of the water! One thing you need to realise is that it takes more than love to be a good parent. As for her ex husband respecting her after their divorce, you obviously are not privvy to people who knew them both who have told me that he had no respect for her after her infidelity and had not spoken to her for over 2 years......so tell me? why is this if he had respect for her?

One thing that amazes me of the people who have posted comments is that no one has mentioned the real victims here......Janets children. I cant imagine what they are going through now and I hope they are in a better situation. For the supporters of Westley, you people need to think about this as he knew when he killed her that he was damaging the lives of 4 young children (whom he knew quite well i believe) you people need to think about that before you send messages of support for this murderer...those little kids were the innocent victims of this crime and they will feel the effects of it more than anyone!

And for the supporters of Janet, you too need to think of the kids rather than baying for the blood of Westley Ibe. He will get what he deserves without stupid grand delusions of extraditing him to America to sit in the electric chair.....how dumb is that!!....let british justice take its course.

Westley is a pathetic moronic individual who shows no sense of remorse toward the family of Janet. During the trial he laughs and jokes with the guards and winks at his misguided supporters. Wait till the Day of Judgement comes when all wrongs will be righted. Wait till the torment of the fire come and wait until the unrepentent wish they could have repented and righted the wrongs they dealt. God's wrath and God's Might is real and beware of the prayer of the oppressed. Westley in the state he's in now is undeserving of a jail term and worthy of a noose around his neck. Unfortunately he resides in a country without a death penalty. We might need to research how we can get him extradited to America to stand trial there for daring to kill and then pretend everything is fine, and be rude to the family as if they have done him an injustice. In America the death penalty remains and the electric chair is waiting for people like him who are arrogant in the face of their criminal actions. May God destroy him and humiliate him in this life and the next.

Murder trial

The murder trial of Janet Hossain began this month and the jury are expected to return a verdict this Monday or Tuesday. Mr. Ibe planned Janet's murder atleast 2 weeks prior to her killing. He is very shrewd and cunning and uses his accident of 1998 as a cover for his actions. He told Janet that her parents will be wondering where she is. Janet discussed this issue with some of her friends but eventually dismissed his statement as non-serious.

He has pleaded guilty to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility and claimed he “heard voices” telling him to do it. He fooled her to visit him that night - she wanted him to marry him and left a note on her pillow that night at home "Westley Forever". She was sitting down on his sofa chewing some gum. It appears as if he secretly put on some gloves in the kitchen and then suddenly strangled Janet as she sat unaware on the sofa.

All his claims of them having some relationship that evening can be easily rubbished… that was just a typical cover story by him. He has lied throughout, always trying to throw a distraction to what was really going on. There was no evidence of a relationship that night from the autopsy - this was clarified the same week of Janet's death by the person who actually did the autopsy.

Why??

Janet was obsessed with Wesley. She recently tried to cut him out of her mind - but wasn't that successful. She even refused to come to his birthday party. They were a mismatch - Westley was a yob - Janet was an IQ flyer and a powerful manipulator. This caused frustration for Westley who wanted to move on and enjoy life. Janet wanted marriage.

When Janet called Simi's husband a second time and informed him of Simi's infidelity with Westley - that probably was the point at which Wesley began thinking of murdering Janet. She was becoming a major source of interference in his life - she had no male backup and would be easy to eliminate.

So why did he hand himself in? His plan started going wrong.

It seems as if **** rang the police and told them what was happening after he confided in her.

And before that, it seems as if janet's brother told Westley to hand himself in after he contacted Westley from the States. Then the same brother - a bearded Muslim with all kinds of London muslim links - was seen hunting down Mr. Ibe on the streets of London and may have wanted to capture Mr. Ibe before the police did. Then another person told the police about the car outside Tilbury station, and then the mobile phone data gave the position away of the car. Only minutes after the car was found Westley handed himself in. He may have been planning to dispose of the body in the Thames later - but his plan was now falling apart.

A love cheat strangled a mum of four and left her body in a laundry bag in her car boot, a court heard yesterday.

Lifeguard Westley Ibe, 28, who was also having an affair with a married woman, killed Janet Hossain during a row after sex, it was claimed.<--CLAIMED

He tried to leave a fake trail of phone calls and texts but confessed to his second lover.

Miss Hossain's body was found in her Mercedes at Tilbury station in Essex.

Ibe, of East London, admits responsibility for the killing but denies murder. The Old Bailey trial continues.

So lets get this straight. He was with a married woman?

@Pam. I knew Janet well. I knew things about her that Im sure noone else knew. In fact Im POSITIVE of that fact. I knew exactly what she was like. Knew exactly how she could get. I knew her. Who said she was a saint? What I said was she was a GOOD MOTHER. You and your ilk try to paint her as a bad mother when thats NOT TRUE. As for her husband divorcing her. WHO CARES. It was him who bought her the mercs that people of your ilk tried to make it seem that she got from illicit means. So he may have divorced her (And I was privvy to the marriage unlike you) but he still respected her as a mother. I never saw anyone take care of their kids the way that she did.
As for the papers reporting. Wasnt it the Sun that said she was found in bondage gear(Which turned out to be a lie). Since when have the papers reported "the truth=the whole truth and nothing BUT the truth". Papers are dropping in circulation nowadays. They need to grab peoples attention. Reporting on the lies that IBE puts out isnt that overwhelming.
As for Karma. I dont think you know what Karma is.
If you did than you would understand that cheating and death dont have karmic balance., Pendejo!
But you are right in this much. Karma IS a bitch.
And I believe in the biblical edict...an eye for an eye.
Murderers should suffer the punishment of Murder.

I hope they feel the pain. He didnt hand himself in straight away. Oh how you lie. He sat and watched her car for a week. When the police interviewed him he said he hadnt seen her?
I dont care about the courts and judges. They will do what they have to do.
Theres a higher court. The court of morals and justice. What we know as GODS LAW..

To ????--I couldnt read your diatribe. It gave me a headache. I will say this. I worked in the criminal justice system in the Uk. I sat in the Old Bailey and gave reports on thugs/losers like Ibe and trust me jail has a stench to it that stays with you.
Please dont speak for Janet's family. DOnt even imagine that you can be an advocate for them. I read these comments and over and over you try to mitigate for Ibe. You try to make ecuses for what was a callous crime. And unlike you ...Im perfectly happy to let you know who I am.

Its a good thing I have been raised with some manners that prevent me from responding to your comments with equally insulting language, but what is quite clear is that you are ignorant of the reality of the deceased and what she was actually like. I know people who knew her for ages and they say she was a person of multiple personalities depending on who she be-friended. The fact remains that her husband DID divorce her after she decided to enage in a lesbian relationship behind his back (and this was while she was a practicing muslim observing the burqa and everything else muslims do!). As for her reasons for leaving her children alone...you will see that the papers (reporting on the trial) have stated that Westley murdered Janet after an argument following sex! So what was this 'situation she was weighing up her her mind' you talk about.....stay in and look after the kids or go out leave the kids and have sex!?! It seems your assumptions are based on emotion rather than fact.
True. Westley had no right to kill her and he most likely will go away for a very long time but I hate people who try and paint a picture of the deceased being a saint when its clear she wasnt. She was involved in many illegal things - drugs, credit card fraud etc.
Despite all I have said it is a shame that someone meets their demise in this manner .....she cheats on her husband...her boyfriend cheats on her which leads to her death...but as they say ' "Karma is a bitch"
